Today’s reading, Oct. 23, really awakens a longing in my heart and at the same time warning that I can’t get to it without “dying to self” which I can’t seem to do. As Lance Lambert taught us, we may manage to nail one hand to the cross, but we can’t do both hands without help!
And so, once again I cry out, “Oh, LORD, come and do this impossible thing in me! I know this death is necessary to be able to fully follow You! I beg You to come and show me the ancient path to follow You!
